Sports Physicals

Sports Physicals at Our Chiropractic Clinic
in Roanoke

Getting a sports physical may not be the first thing that comes to mind when considering chiropractic care. However, our chiropractor in Roanoke VA can perform sports physicals and help you correct any issues that may be impeding your physical strength, stamina or mobility. Our sports exams are thorough and accurate. After conducting an exam, and depending on your specific physical condition, we may be able to use a variety of complementary health treatments and techniques that can greatly contribute to your optimal physical performance out on the field and in everyday life.

Sports Physicals

Sports Physicals for Student Athletes

Most schools require their athletes to have a complete physical exam and sign off before they can participate in any school sports. For the serious athlete, it can be a seriously pressing issue if he has to wait a long time before being able to make an appointment for a physical. At our Roanoke chiropractic office, this is the type of treatment in which we specialize, so it’s essentially what we do all day. We don’t have to try and fit patients in between other types of treatment or complicated medical procedures, so there is typically no long wait for an appointment to get a sports physical.

What Our Physical Exams Entail

Our sports exams will cover all the basics of what you need to get cleared by the sports director of your school. Additionally, we’ll typically suggest exercises or treatment plans that we think may improve your long-term sports performance. For the most part, when you come in for your sports physical we do the following checks:

  • Height and weight check
  • Range of motion
  • Blood pressure
  • Pulse
  • Vision

These are the basic checks with every exam and we will also perform any other specific checks as required by your particular sports program.

Top Tier Chiropractic Care in Roanoke

In addition to the sports physicals in Roanoke that we can perform in our office, we also often implement healing chiropractic care into our treatment plan. We know that sports activity is one of the main reasons that patients end up visiting our office. Whether it’s muscle strains, torn tendons or shoulder injuries, sports can generally put a lot of wear and tear on the body. Consequently, it’s important to be proactive in taking care of your body in between games, in order to reduce the likelihood of injury. We help athletes stay in their best shape so they can enjoy their games and thrive successfully in sports for as long as possible.

Schedule Your Visit

Don’t wait to get your sports physical. Staying in tip-top physical shape is crucial to sports performance, whether your school requires you to have a sports exam or not. Call us today and our staff will be happy to schedule an appointment.
